Global Support Grows for U.S. Military Action Against Iran as Allies Condemn Tehran’s Retaliation
Only Russia and China have mounted consistent opposition. Moscow labeled the strikes “unprovoked aggression,” while Beijing called them unacceptable and demanded an immediate ceasefire, consistent with their long-standing diplomatic ties to Tehran.

WASHINGTON – A growing number of nations are voicing support for or quietly aligning with U.S. and Israeli military action against Iran, as Tehran’s retaliatory missile and drone strikes on Gulf states and European-linked facilities have drawn regional and Western partners closer together in defense of shared security interests.
Gulf Cooperation Council members, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan, have strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on their territory, which targeted U.S. bases and civilian infrastructure. Saudi Arabia offered its capabilities to support affected Arab states, while the UAE intercepted dozens of incoming projectiles and reserved the right to respond. These nations, long wary of Iranian aggression, have made clear they will not tolerate strikes on their soil.
In Europe, initial calls for restraint have shifted following Iranian strikes on British, French, and German-linked sites. The UK, France, and Germany issued a joint statement committing to defend their interests and those of regional allies, including potential action to degrade Iran’s missile and drone capabilities at the source. The UK has authorized U.S. use of its bases, France is increasing its regional military presence, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte described Europe as “absolutely supportive” of the operation. Canada and Australia have offered open backing.
Only Russia and China have mounted consistent opposition. Moscow labeled the strikes “unprovoked aggression,” while Beijing called them unacceptable and demanded an immediate ceasefire, consistent with their long-standing diplomatic ties to Tehran.
The pattern of Iranian retaliation—hitting neutral or allied nations—has accelerated this alignment, isolating the regime and underscoring the effectiveness of focused U.S. action to neutralize nuclear and missile threats. As operations continue, this broadening international consensus strengthens prospects for securing American and allied interests in a more stable Middle East.
